For the third year running, Ron Noades and his wife Novello hosted the charity golf day at the Addington golf club in Surrey for Prostate UK. Teams of four, with one including Prostate Centre patient Ronnie Corbett himself, made their way round one of Britain’s most picturesque courses.
Once the final putt had been made, there was a dinner and a charity auction hosted by renowned magician David Redfearn. He didn’t need to use any tricks to coax the very generous audience, which included the former England football players John Solako and Steve Coppell, into making bids. Auction prizes included golf club membership and special golf days as well as a unique signed photo of The Two Ronnies.
Ronnie Corbett finished the day with a few words to remind everyone of the importance of being prostate aware.
The day raised £5,077 for Prostate UK. If you are a member of a golf club and would like to arrange a charity golf day of your own, please contact Prostate UK on 020 8788 7720.
