The future’s robotic!

Meet the team that’s leading the field in robotic radical prostatectomy: Dr Peter Amoroso (anaesthetist), Professor Roger Kirby, Professor Prokar Dasgupta and Mr Krishna Patil (surgeons), who have worked together since the da Vinci robot was first installed at The London Clinic in November 2005.

Now upgraded to the latest da Vinci S High Definition model, the robot has proved its worth to more than 750 patients of ours who have opted for this minimally invasive procedure.  In the Centre most days of the week you’ll find someone who has either just had the operation or who is back for follow-up, having experienced it at some stage in the past three years.
